Miss B’s Very Silly Playland Zirkus! is a ‘tip of the hat’ to the childhood imagination. Miss B pushes back against societal norms and reminds us that if we rekindle that sense of joy, play and naughtiness we had early on in our lives, we can regain a truer version of ourselves as more playful and imaginative adults. Why not bring out a little bit of silliness within our all too serious selves? Lose those inhibitions and have a ball with an immersive pre-show playland experience followed by a magical storytelling variety show with puppets because puppets are awesome!

This performance is devised by Leslie Collins, in collaboration with an improvising troupe of actors, musicians, and visual artist Taylor Cleveland. Miss B’s Very Silly Playland Zirkus! is graciously performed as part a new works residency at Arts Mission Oak Cliff.

This spring I will present a staged version of Nighty Night with Miss B at Arts Mission Oak Cliff. I applied to be one of three artist in residency for new works in 2023 and was delighted to find out that they picked me to develop a new work. This incredible organization supports new artists in DFW and helps creatives cultivate their vision into a very real piece of art. We will be presenting in many different artistic mediums all throughout 2023. A public performance will take place at the end of my residency on May 18th and 19th.

The Butterfly's Evil Spell at Theatre Three
I get to play a bug! That's right, a bug mother and I couldn't be more delighted. The Butterfly's Evil Spell (El maleficio de la mariposa) was the first play Spanish dramatist Federico Garcia Lorca and has been translated into english for this new production. In a whimsical world of beetles, scorpions, and bugs of all sorts, a beetle falls in love with an injured butterfly. An "insect comedy" written in verse. "The Butterfly's Evil Spell" is a story about unrequited love in a "green and humble meadow" covered in dewdrops and dripping in poetry. A fantastical, tragic love story. Open now until April 30th at Theatre Three.
Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus at Dallas Children's Theater
Picture
2023 is starting off with a bang! First off, I get to make my debut at Dallas Childrens Theater in their hilarious musical Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus by Mo Willems' . The cast, crew and entire theater organization at DCT is wonderful and the outreach they do for the community is truly inspiring. I get to play a wacky "old lady" and a sweet little singing duckling. It's puppets galore and guaranteed to not be a bore! There is nothing better than playing to an enormous house of brilliant, wiggling first graders! Now running January 24th - February 24th.

Silver Foxes (Uptown Players)
Picture
This March 2-12th, I will be in the world premiere play Silver Foxes at Uptown Players. I'm so excited to be in this production, playing 6 different roles! It's like Christmas day. Silver Foxes is a new comedy play about an ensemble of queer men who rescue their best friend from a homophobic assisted living facility. The three older men plus their buddy’s younger Twink lover, navigate stray cats, online hook up sites and the real estate ravenous lesbian couple next door to become a fabulous de facto family in an iconic mid-century Palm Springs house.  Directed by dallas native and stage and screen phenom, Michael Urie (Shrinking, Younger, Ugly Betty). The whole team is hilarious and a total delight to work with. Get your tickets FAST because it is almost sold out.

Young Frankenstein (Circle Theatre & Theatre Three Co Production)

Picture
PINCH ME. I got to jump into the role of Elizabeth Benning in Young Frankenstein at Circle Theatre and Theatre Three all spring, summer and fall. This was my DREAM ROLE! I loved every minute of Transylvania, "Ah, sweet mystery of life, at last I've found thee!" This was a my debut at both Circle Theater and Theatre Three and I treasured every minute working on this hilarious show with such a top notch cast and crew.

 Disney's Descendants at Casa Mañana - April 23rd - May 8th 2022

Picture
I returned to Casa Manana after many years to play Fairy Godmother in Disney's Descendants. I was thrilled to join such an amazing cast at one of my favorite theaters. Casa Manana was my first professional theater home and where I got my AEA card many years ago. Thousands of kids had their first experience seeing live theater, so this was a show I'll never forget. The audience of dancing children was a blast to see. I've never had so much fun spending time with the villains of Disney!

The Taming at WaterTower Theatre

Picture
I had the privilege of performing in WaterTower Theatre's production of The Taming by Lauren Gunderson. This fast paced political farce was ridiculously fun to perform and I loved every minute of the run with the cast, crew and production staff.

Fun Home at Uptown Players

Picture
I just finished a wonderful production playing Alison in Fun Home at the Uptown Players in Dallas, TX. Performances of this groundbreaking show were well attended and well received. I had an absolute blast performing at the beautiful Kalita Humphries Theater in Turtle Creek . The cast for this show and the entire production staff, orchestra and crew were top notch. The reviews were solid too! And this review too. Uptown Players is a wonderful theater, full of people who make great theater in Dallas. I hope you'll continue to support them for the rest of their season!

Past Theater Productions

I have had the pleasure of performing musicals and plays at so many wonderful theaters all over the world, from the Edinburgh Fringe Festival to the Sydney Opera House. Here's just a glimpse of some of the fabulous productions I've been in throughout my career.

Last year I played Thrones! The Musical Parody at the Sydney Opera House. I was able to reprise the role of Linda from the original production in Los Angeles in 2016-2017 and the Edinburgh Fringe. It was a sold out run that extended another two weeks due to popular demand. Many thanks to the good people of Oz and the Opera House for having us.
